Statement of Faith
- Scripture: We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is a collection of the special revelations of God in written form and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith, life, and practice. We believe the Truth found in the Bible is timeless and speaks to us even today.
- Trinity: We believe that the Bible teaches that there is One Personal God who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- God the Father: We believe that God the Father is the first member of the Trinity who is all powerful and is sovereign over all affairs of universe. Although invisible he may be known through the effects of his work and revelation both general and special.
- Jesus: We believe that Jesus is the second member of the Trinity who is the Eternal Son of God. He has graciously become a man in order to live a sinless life, obeying the Law of God perfectly. He, then, suffered and died on the cross to take blame for all of our sins. He was then physically raised from the dead on the third day.
- Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is the Wonderful Counselor promised by Jesus to be with his people always, all the time. By residing in a believer’s heart, he becomes the source of joy, comfort, intimacy and security in his life. He is also responsible for convicting a believer’s heart to confess their sins in his seasons of disobedience in order to restore the fellowship with God.
- Humanity: We believe that in accordance with the Scripture, every person was created in the image and the likeness of God to glorify and enjoy Him forever. When sin entered humanity, God’s image and likeness were broken, which created a separation between God and man. This state can only be restored through faith in Jesus Christ as the One Only Savior and the Lord.
- Satan: We believe in the existence of Satan and demons who are now ruling as the principalities of this fallen world. As the enemy of God, they continue to oppose God and His people and torments the world.
- Salvation: We believe that salvation is received by faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by practicing religion. Anyone who wholeheartedly trusts and believes in Jesus’ death and resurrection for their personal sin will be forgiven, accepted, and adopted into the family of God.
- Church: We believe the church is the body of Jesus, consisting of everyone He redeemed for Himself. One of the main purposes of the Church on Earth is to be the hands and feet of Jesus by taking a part in restoring the things corrupted by sin and Satan. This effort includes making disciples as Jesus has commanded and enjoying fellowship in the context of the believing community.
- Restoration: We believe that Jesus will physically return to Earth in order to put to end Satan, sin and death. He will also bring complete restoration of every aspect of God’s creation, in order that there may no longer be pain, tears, or sadness.
